boa (barefoot horse) boots

here!
v helpful website and mine fitted my pony to a T when I followed the fitting guidelines (she is a Haflinger and was size 3 I think)

Not sure about cheaper tho, but have had mine nearly 3 years and not had to replace yet. Dont use them all the time now cos shes hardened up her feet.

Boas are best for round feet and good for shallow ones esp. NB dont get optional gaiters unless the boots rub as the gaiters were the only thing that did rub for mine (hoof and fetlock too shallow for them to fit right)

Ebay or check the classifieds in various places.
Might also be worth looking at the UKNHCP forum as they have a section for second hand stuff.

I may be looking to sell a pair - I got some to put over shoes but now we're barefoot I think they're too big. Will check the size.

Incidentally they're good on tracks and stuff but I found them a bit slippery in the mud.

that would be brill...thanks

Yep, slippery slick mud is the one time horses are better with no boots on at all, even when transitioning from shod to unshod. You can get studs for the boa boots tho, although I have some I havent ever tried them.

boa boots are great, but they do get slippery in mud, if you follow the instructions on the easycare web site to work out measurements, it is also worth bearing in mind that the diffrent types of boot have diffrent shaped soles, so as well as selecting correct size it will be worth checking you have the shape nearest to your horses hoof.
