I used Old Macs on my pony and they were fab. There was a knack to putting them on correctly, but I hacked out on the roads and galloped across fields with them on and they were fine. Would definitely recommend them.

Easy boots with gaiters are really good. They never fall off, are lighweights, fairly easy to put on and last for ages! We use Easyboots on our Trakehner gelding that pulls his front shoes of really easy. Have Jumped him in them, done 12 mile pleasure rides with loads of gallops etc.. Its best to vet wrap the pastern area if your going through lots of streams (water) etc to prevent and rubs..

I quite liked the old macs and skye wasn't the slightest bit worried about having them on.
The boas are huge and she absolutly hated them, and they rubbed. She used to walk like she was wearing platforms when they were on her!!

Would agree with this went on pleasure rides and all sorts, once you got the hang of putting them on they were brilliant, def worth the money but had to have a size smaller than what I measured, does that make sense?

Pickle has developed a habit of pulling a bck shoe off in the trailer so I have bought an easyboot epic for emergency shoe replacement. I was thinking of taking both back shoes off & using boots but have decided against it. I have only used the boot abot 8 times, but she has already manged to knick the gaiter & I find that some days it goes straight on & other days it takes me 5 mins depending on how co-operative she is feeling. However it has done the job very well & we had a good canter & had an anticipatory prance throgh mud last weekend & it stayed on fine so I shall always keep one on hand to save calling the farrier out for a lost shoe.
