Boa Boots wanted!!!

A long shot but you just never know. My horse is in the interim period of having shoes removed and going barefoot so to ease the transition I was hoping to use Boa boots. What do people think of them? And anyone have any size 3 (medium cob) they no longer use? Happy to pay of course! Thanks for your advice!

I've got the Cavallo simple boots in a size 3. They're great - only thing is the gaitors are rubbish and because of the gap (which is meant to be there) I used vet wrap under mine to stop them rubbing when they were new. I've used them for about 6 weeks whilst waiting for my horses back feet to grow enough to get shoes on and they worked a treat, have softened up nicely and in fact the last few times I rode in them I didn't bother with vet wrap and they were fine.

I'm in 2 minds about whether to sell them.

The only negative I've heard about the boas is the dial can sometimes cause pressure points?

I had some Boas which I hated, they would rub (even with the anti-rub guards in) the dial covers used to come off so eventually got lost and then the dials would just come undone I also found them really clumpy, no good for fast work or on uneven terrain. Really didn't get on with them. I now have easyboot gloves which I love. I have heard good things about cavallos to.

I used to use Boa boots and never had any problems with rubbing, caps coming off or anything really. The only thing I will say though is that the grip is rubbish. If you are wanting to do road work they will do the job just fine. I have jumped and cantered in mine too without a problem but hit any mud and it's like been sat on Bambi on speed.

I don't use them anymore because my boys are fine without boots now.

I might have a pair of size 3 going spare - I'm not sure if there 2s of 3s. I will have a look for you over the tomorrow if you like.
