Bob went to his 1st puppy training today, and the good news is he wasnt banned from the class, and he was 'best in class' on the lead...(insert proud mummy face here)!
He wasnt a complete angel though and did get told off along with the other terrier for being a typical terriers and scrappin each other! Ooops!
They do play with each other alot and occasionally get carried away resulting lots of growling and lots of teeth but no fur flying. Until now we have left them to get on with it and they sort themselves, but instructor rightly pointed out that pack leaders wouldnt let it get to that point. So from now on i shall be stopping them before they get to far!
Other than that am looking forward to next week and see if Bob bit braver with the other pups...he tended to bark at the ones he didnt know then dive under my chair!

Yay, sounds like a good day

YAY! The iccle Boblet did you proud.

I am so nervous. Were there puppies there that couldn't walk on a lead then? I'll be pleased I did my homework if that's the case.

I'm determined to be teacher's pet! Soooo nervous about going tomorrow.

Yep, most of them couldn't do lead work. I have only done very little with Bob but he seems to pick things up quickly.
I was just diasappointed on how nervous he seemed of other dogs, dont want a yappy terrier eveytime he sees someone new! But thats why we go to classes isnt it!
Good luck with Harvey (thats if he hasnt been rehomed to a non-blackberry owning home before then)!

*****Patches blows raspberries (every pun intended) at N*****

Sooo I do hope we'll look like swots if Harvey can manage to do sit, down, stand, wait, leave (as in he doesn't get his treat when he's sitting until he moves his nose away from my hand) and walk on the lead in a strange place!

I might just go and wake the terror up and practice a bit more now! I mustn't forget to buy some chicken to cook up in the morning either. We will need LOTS of treats I think!

He's being microchipped whilst we're there too.

I think you will be looking like swots

and im sure Harvey will be teachers pet!
We are doing sit, down etc next week...Bob does it at home hopefully he will stop hanging off Minnies neck long enough to do it in class too!

PMSL! Harvey does tend to shut everything else out when he sees the treat pouch. Infact, I'm thinking sending him away and stay is going to be a nightmare as getting him to leave my side when I have treats is not easy!
