I live near Dartmoor and not that far from Bodmin - of the two I much prefer Dartmoor as I find Bodmin too bleak - everytime I go up there it rains and I seem to have to skirt round bogs.
I used to do a lot of endurance - hated bodmin moor with a passion! Stony and boggy! I come from Dartmoor so I am used to the moor and Dartmoor is far more beautiful, especially north
of princetown (although I am south!). Also Exmoor is fantastic, but can be quite wet. But the scenary more than makes up for it
I live near Bodmin Moor, but have to say, I agree with the others. If I was planning a riding holiday I would head for Exmoor or Dartmoor.
I did used to go and stay at a place on the Moor when I was a kid though and always had good riding holidays, however I think there is much more to do and see around Exmoor.
We went on a riding holiday to Bodmin Moore when we were kids, many moons ago and it was fantastic as far as I can remember.
Would definitely think about going back there again if it wasnt so far away.
TM International is where I used to go as a kid - it was just called Sunrising then - nearly 30 years ago
. Captain Ted Moore runs the place, I know he is very knowledgeable but have no experience of the instruction given there I'm afraid - but I haven't heard any bad stuff, if that helps at all, and I guess the fact that the place is still running now speaks for itself
There was a student training from there who used to come on the Pammy Hutton clinics at Tall Trees, their horses looked fine and she is a member on H and H, just can't remember her name!
I think you'd enjoy it.
