Following the 'lurcher recall' thread I thought I would ask where I can find good information on how to use what is known about dog's body language to further my own dog's training. I think that sometimes I try to convey something to my dog but my body language means something else to him leading to crossed wires and an apparently disobedient dog. Any books, websites, experiences would be very welcome. Thanks!

Thanks for the link, it has some interesting articles. I have no problems out of the house, only inside the house at close range which is why I am questioning my body language.
The role of body language in animal/human communication has always fascinated me and I have learnt a lot about it doing liberty work with my horses. I would now like to develop the same level of communication with my dog.
Whistles: I live in an area where a lot of dogs get walked (New Forest) and will not use a whistle as many people use them and I do not want my dog to respond to a whistle with the same frequency as mine.
Am now off to search youtube!
