I have been convinced that I will enjoy xc  so I will be needing a body protector.

Being quite broke at the mo I need something that will do me for now - i.e. is comfortable for a woman with curves who is prone to tipping forward (so nothing too long at the back that will impede me sitting deep on my bum!). But it needs to be at the cheaper end of the range...

Recommendations for make (or ones to avoid) please then I can go shopping! Prices would be great.

Many thanks!!!

i can;t remember what make mine is. But i had no idea so went to the saddlery to ask.
Got lots of advice. They do have standard sizes in but can also make to suit. I have an adults length body but a childs chest (i know way to tiny) lol. But it was made to suit me and my riding preferences and cost me £95!
Good luck shopping!

I like Racesafe, they have good freedom of movement unlike some makes which are very restrictive. The lace up side adjustment can be manipulated to fit different body shapes. If needed I use a shoulder protection t-shirt instead of the fixed shoulders, again more freedom of movement. I've had mine for a good few years now so not sure on cost.
