My current body protector (normal racesafe) doesn't fit very well as I've lost some weight from when I bought it and have no ability to adjust it. The other day I tried on my friends racesafe provent 3.0 and it fitted a lot better despite being the same size as mine (adult small) which I think was down to the way it is adjusted at the sides.

I've decided to buy myself a provent, although I'm not sure weather to get the size down as I only just fit into the adult small (both were at the smallest they can possibly go) but then this chucks in the possibility of getting the childrens extra large tall with the longest back which fits my measurments better. My dad says the childs would be cut differently although I said to him that both of them are not cut for specific genders.

Either way I'll order from treehouse who were good with my last one last year when I ordered the wrong size so I know I can send it back if the new one doesn't fit but just need some advice.

The kids ones don't account for boobs! Are there no stockists near you that you can nip into to try one on?

Try one on! the old race safe fitted me fine but NONE of the new ones fitted me at all and i had to go for an airowear outlyne in the end.

Aye they have changed them! I don't like my new one for work. It is more rigid and smaller all round. I had to go for a Flat long rather than the flat standard and it doesn't really fit properly. The standard one was too short, the long is too long and its bigger over the shoulders.

I'd try and get to a shop to try one on! I'm 5'4" and a size 8 (and admittedly do have boobs!) and I have the largest child size. However I only wear it cross country over a thin base layer so like a closer fit, and find it's not too bulky/ never catches on the saddle. Obvious added benefits of child size are not having to pay VAT, but there's no point in getting a smaller one if you're just going to find it claustrophobic after a while !

I was an adults xsmall and got the child's xlarge tall but with the same length back as the adults short back and the fit is exactly the same aside from it can go even tighter then the adult one. Fits me perfect and I checked the length of it against my adults xsmall before I sold it on. Didn't notice any difference in the boobie area but then thanks to having a child and weight loss they're non existent anyway xD plus they're cheaper ;)
