I need to get a body protector for when my youngster is broken in Spring this year. Looking for something that is lightweight and comfortable, and has enough room for a bigger bust! What brands do people recommend?

I'm blessed  in the department too. Airowear to a specific one for bigger busts - the Outlyne. I have that one and it's a bit restrictive to start off but once it warms up you don't notice it. It has the added bonus of keeping everything in place. If I ever forget to change my bra before riding I wear my body protector and it works just as well!

The Racesafe is supposed to be good too - it has lace up sides so you can have it looser at the top and tighter at the bottom to suit. I've not tried that one but lots of people recommend it.

Either way, I'd get it properly fitted it you can (I know not easy at the moment) as the Airowear in particular has lots of different sizes that aren't always obvious. I needed a Long Slim fit which delighted me as I have never been thought of as long or slim!

I'd also recommend an Air Jacket. I've just bought one as a new horse seemed like a good reason and it's much more comfortable. I wear it for everything but I've bought it a size bigger so I can also wear my body protector underneath when I finally get to go and do some cross country or even just jumping. I bought the gilet style one from Treehouse sporting colours because I'm vain and it looks more like a normal gilet. You can buy different outers for the air jacket to zip into - so show jackets, hunting coats or soft shell jackets but they are expensive. I bought the gilet as it's the most versatile.
