I have a recently lost 3stone in weight and I am now finding that my body protector (race safe) is catching on the cantle of my saddle - its really annoying.
Is there anyway of adjusting them? its only a year old so don't really want to have to replace it yet as they are soooo expensive!

I would say given that big amount of weight loss the fit may no longer be right so as above would suggest selling and getting refitted for a new one.

That's the hard bit (and what I find most annoying) horsey people know full well what things cost new but are always out for a bargain and never want to pay a lot...
I'd search and see what prices similar ones are being listed for and go from there.

Congratulations on the weight loss!

Which model is it? I bought a new Racesafe Provent earlier this year, and was told that the factory lead time on them was 12 weeks. Meaning that hopefully there is good demand s/h from folk who can't find their size new in store.

Definitely sell and get a new one fitted to you. After losing three stone, your current BP definitely won’t be fitting you. I sold a racesafe in the UK a couple of years ago and got almost what I paid for it. I doubt you will lose a lot on what you paid for it (obviously, if it is in good condition).

Definitely sell and replace, but if you reeeeeally want to modify it, they're actually super easy to unpick and shorten. But then you can't really sell it at all in the future ;)
