What d'yall use nowadays? BE are going to stop accepting my dear old Rodney Powell body protector from 2018 and I have no clue what to replace it with.... I don't disagree with what they are saying, but what do you modern day eventers use? :)

I have a racesafe and also a more recent Outlyne, and they are both OK... but... having borrowed a Dainese once, if I were buying again I would get one of those, as it was the most comfortable one I have ever felt!

I have a Racesafe but would quite like a Dainaise next time I change, and would hope they would have added shoulder protectors by then :)

I actually wore mine yesterday and barely noticed I had it on.... it's a racesafe prevent ladies fit, not cheap but worth the dosh.

All you looking for Dainese - bad news! Their most recent update to their amazing BP didn't pass BETA accreditation for some reason and they've supposedly scrapped the equestrian side of the business :(. It's a real shame as they really were brilliant.

I've heard good things about the Race Safe Provent.

I know they do black, navy, grey and purple and I have seen a picture of Mary and Emily King in them, Mary in her usual green and Emily in pink and purple so they may do other colours. Daughters is Navy as her xc colours are navy/turquoise

Does anyone have a link / press release or similar to show the Danaise failed BETA testing? I have one with a purple BETA 2009 Level 3 label. But if it is no longer safe then I need to replace it. All I can find it that Danaise opted to focus on other sports and no longer produce the BP. There are several outlets still selling Danaise BPs (until they run out of stock!) and none seem to suggest that the testing was wrong.

The one that passed and is/was being sold is fine. They changed the design and were going to release an updated/different model and this is the one that failed - it's not available to buy anywhere. My wording should have been clearer.

I love my old Racesafe, I'll be replacing it with the RS2010 probably. I'll look at the Provent though, it just looks a bit bulky from the pictures and that's the reason I love my current RS2009 - its so comfy and flexible.

Oh balls, what a shame :(

I tried the Racesafe Provent and compared it to the most recent airowear - would go for the RS every time, and planning to buy one in the near future!
