Which one do you reccomend? I wont be doing anything like eventing in it, I just want it for in the summer when I tackle Barons napping again, and also plan to start him off with some small XC courses.

I was looking at the Harry Hall one

I know its cheap but I like the look of it. Obviously I will be trying on before I purchase one but just wanted some opinions on different ones, and if anyone has the Harry Hall one please add your views.

Also getting a new hat, want one with vents. I like the Harry Hall elite plus but suggestions welcome.

I personally wouldn't go for a cheap BP even if it was just for home use because they're so uncomfy! I love my Racesafe 2000, it the comfiest Ive ever worn, and also very breathable (unless you enjoy getting BP sweat marks!).

With regard to hats - I cant really recommend any cheapish ones - my ventilated one is a GPA Extreme which is lovely! But Id never use it for home, I just use an old traditional one!

Depends a lot on your body shape. I love my Aerowear (I have the Zippa Plus for wimp reasons - has built in shoulders) and feel naked without it but no matter how much you spend, if you're not comfy in it after walking about for 5 minutes, then don't buy it because you won't wear it.
Hats - same thing applies, but think about a ventilated (loved my Dublin one but it died...) especially for arguing in during summer.

The only BP I have ever got on with is my Rodney Powell which is fab. I don't like the look of ventilated hats so use a Charles Own H2000 as I love the posh leather forehead lining, find it so comfortable & it looks fab

I like my airowear (zippa). Was very tempted by a racesafe, but put off by the price tag (over £120 I think). Promised myself that next time I will get one as I will be riding more serious/often.

Fringe benefits to wearing a BP so far.
1. No embarassing need to sort out bra straps after sitting trot when bra choice was less than optimal!
2. Excellent wind proof layer in winter.

Well I have a posh made to measure racesafe on order at the moment.

My rodney powell will be going on ebay soon! (it's in emerald/navy and has matching shoulder pads)

You should decide whether you prefer a zip up one or an over the head one - then you can narrow your choice down.

I have a zip up Cobra, extremely comfortable and adjustable. They don't come with shoulders though.

As for hats I tend to go with Champion hats cos not only do I like their range but I have been told they fit my head as apparently some makes of hat fit certain shapes of head better!! I didn't know that until recently when I got a hat fitted whilst shopping at Badminton.

I have a Rodney Powell BP which is very comfortable and a Dublin Onyx hat. With both things though I think it depends on your body shape. I have an unusual shaped chest and head so I have to go on what fits after trying lots on

Quick thing with regard to Cobra's - I had one before the RS2000, had to change because with one of my saddles it always banged the back of it which was so uncomfortable! So be careful about that. Was fine with my other saddle though.

I've got a jack Ellis BP which is a tabard style and i find it quite comfy as it moulds to your body. Also i've got the Harry hall Elite hat and its fine. I think you have to go on what hats fit you the best as they're all slightly different fitting.
