Body Protectors on a budget

Okay, I know it's not great to compromise on safety so no lectures please about being a skin flint

...but this SJ'er has done a dumb thing and agreed to go x-country at the weekend

We're only talking 2'3" to 2'6" so don't get excited...i'm not converting to BE just yet

Thing is, a stipulation of entry is that riders wear body protectors and medical armbands. I have a couple of offers of loan armbands

but want to find a reasonable BP on a budget. The cheaper ones i've seen so far vary from about £75 to £140 (!?). Is this reasonable or are there better deals out there ? If not, it's gonna be a very expensive hack round lol!

Unfortunately, I don't know too many other riders my size...let alone ones with BP's

I've just ordered a Champion one off Robinsons in fact...they're all a con though...they advertise one price, but as soon as they find out you're bigger than the smallest child, the price doubles

Too late! we have a couple available that would have done, but found buying a large child's size in racesafe saved money and is a perfect fit for my daughter (size 10)

Not sure how far away you are but for future ref. Racesafe have an outlet shop in Wilbarston Nr Market Harborough. My friend got her childrens from a far bit cheaper than elsewhere
