I am going to need to get a body protector very soon for xc and i can't decide between a Rodney Powell Elite Body Armour and a Racesafe RS 2000

I want to go and try some on sometime this week but i just wondered what everyone else thinks about the 2!

Thanks

I have the Rodney Powell and its really comfortable. Not tried the Racesafe but one of my friends has one and loves it. I think you just need to try them both on and see which you prefer.

I am planning on getting some body protection and I was given two tips: Get it fitted properly at your tack shop so that it fits correctly front and back, and wear it hacking a few times before you compete in it, so that it moulds to your body shape.

I decided to get a body protector after being bucked off my young horse a few weeks ago - shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted! A friend recommended the Racesafe. If your measurements are standard they will supply them off the peg, if not they make them to measure. Mine just had to be shortened by a couple of inches. I've had it a couple of weeks and I find it comfortable. When you first put them on they feel a bit restricting but after a short while you forget you've got it on. It will probably be a bit hot in the summer, but I expect all makes would be. I use it for hacking so have it on for 1 - 1 1/2 hours at a time.

I have both!
I love them both - I pointed in my Racesafe its very flexible - and you dont feel like you wearing it at all. So now wear it on youngsters and out xc schooling etc
I compete in my Rodney Powell - which is a more fixed shape, it has shoulder pads which are removable - which some people do not like, however I do not find that it inhibits my movements what so ever I just keep it as "smart" to be honest if I only had to have one I would keep the Rodney Powell.
Hope thats of help
