OK, so I have never owned or worn a BP - I've always side stepped the issue due to my size. Yes, I am aware how stupid this is! However, I am not as big as I was, though still big, but after my fall last weekend and lets face it lucky escape, I think it would be wise for me to get one. However, I have no idea about them and no idea where to go to get fitted. Not only am I larger than the average rider, but I am also taller than the average female, with a long back. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thank you!

FInd a racesafe or Rodney Powell stockist, as they can mix and match or make to measure

I would reccomend treehouse, they are really friendly and helpful. Got my racesafe from them, used to refuse to wear a BP but don't even notice my racesafe.

I've got an XL Champion Cobra body protector. It's a bit bulky but quite comfortable when on. I don't use it as it's too long in the back for me and someone has given me another one (not that I use that one either, but I think I might). I've only used it a couple of times. I don't suppose you can wait until September and I'll take it to the UK with me

Where abouts in the country are you? I know a RP fitter in Derbyshire

I hate my RP BP for the first few minutes, but it saved my ribs last week when I landed on my side (at a walk - Dizz slipped on the road
