body shaking

my horse who is 17yrs has a terrible habit of twitching and full body shaking whilst you ride her.. it is an all round the year habit but it is getting worse.. i think it is a neurological problem but is hoping for any ideas which can help me... i have ruled out sensitive skin as she does not do it when wearing a rug and does it less when being ridden in the field. she also weaves in a field and stable.. i have owned her a year now and all i know of her pass is that she is an ex eventer l

Can't help but wonder if she up-ended herself while competing and this was the start of her problems. I dread seeing horses land on their heads as although everyone always says oh it got up and was fine, I can't believe it never causes problems further down the line. I would try to get your mare referred to a neurological expert but rule out saddle pressure first.
