I was just wondering whether anyone has put their Boett Blanket on yet? I have just bought a new one because my boy ripped the last one to shreds last year and I am worried I may put it on too early/too late?? Don't want to start too early as this has got to last him until next Summer!! What are other owners doing please?

Friend is putting hers on for the first time tomorrow morning. We have seen a few midges over the weekend now the sun has finally come out and theres no way she wants to get caught out waiting till its too late.

Thankfully I don't need to use one but there were definitely midges biting Daisy in her field today. She was kicking and stamping like it was summer

what is your horse trashing it on?..From experience I would advise electric fencing wherever possible and check for sharp objects that the rug can get caught on. If its another horse, try spraying the rug with bitter spray or similar. If its just due to scratching then I'd put it on earlier rather than later to stop the scratching from starting to severely.. remember, you can ride in the rug but remove the belly first..

Good luck fellow sweet itch sufferers.. here we go again
