Boett's been on 2 weeks and its rubbing! The front elastic bit which goes round the shoulders. its rubbed patches at the top of his legs at the front.

Anybody else found this? What can I do about it?

I have found that a few goes through the washing machine with fabric softener is enough to soften up the elastics.

Yeah, I dont know if I could cover it as its the elastic bit so needs to stretch.

Im washing it as we speak - with added fabric softener! Will also spray him on his shoulders with Coat shine to try and get it slick.

this happened with my boett, rubbed his shoulders nearly bare whilst I was on holiday (yard didnt notice) and rubbed the top of this mane out so its going to be sold soon as it does more damage than good!

Do you think you need the next size up?

I use a cheaper alternative, but have had no problems with it rubbing. However mine always stretch so if they start off a bit tight they always end up bigger.

I think the washing idea may be worth a try, maybe with a fabric conditioner. Also the show shine definitely helps with mane rubbing. You could always use a shoulder protector until the boett has stretch (if they do stretch)

When they are new they are rather stiff and initially rub, however after wear and tear a few washes mine has softened right up
