Hi. I've posted before about my horse undergoing diagnostic arthroscopic surgery of his hock. Now we are 3 weeks post op, and he's doing great. He is full of beans, and gets hand-walked twice a day. My concern and question is about the hock swelling. On the inside it is very big. He does have slight heat in that joint. Vets said it may or may not ever go away. So if you can share with me your experiences, as I'm dealing with this for a first time. Is it normal for a joint to be warm? How long does it take for heat and swelling to subside? Is there anything I can do to help him? I've bought Veredus magnetic hock boots, but not using them yet. He's on oral joint supplement. Any help appreciated! Xx
