boggy fields??

hiya, our fields are pretty wet and so get VERY boggy in winter ((((. they started to dry up but with this really wet week they have got really muddy again!!! the gateways are about ankle deep and so i have a question (sounds weird haha) i really want to ride in the fields soon (sick of the little 20by20 school) but the horses have churned them all up pretty bad and so theyre rutty. i know they will dry eventually but what im wondering is will they level themselves out?? or do we need to get them rolled or something???? also anybody else having muddy wet field issues
(also we cant stable so the ponies are very muddy beasties!!!)
i hate mud and it doesnt look like were going to be able to ride in them

Ditto! I HATE mud too, my horses seem to know this so roll in the wettest, muddiest patch they can find then moan at me cos I have to make them clean to ride!!! Your best bet is to wait until nearly dry then get harrowed & rolled

wait untill your fields start to dry up and once they get to the 'tacky ' stage get them rolled.
