Really good day, was so close to being two double clears!
First class was great, easy double clear and was just beaten in the jump off by a few seconds. Pony was really motoring due to a bit off a flyer we took over an oxer in the warm up! Stood off about a stride and a half and proper LAUNCHED, bit of an *oh****** moment haha but seemed to get her going in the jump off
Then did our first 1m, wasn't too worried walking the course as it didn't look too big and scary which was what I had been dreading. Was going great until the plank which we had down for some reason? not too sure why.. and I looked back (must.stop.doing.that!), and sort of lost the rhythm into the double and so decided if in doubt kick and look for a flyer, clever pony had other ideas and chipped one in and we got over in a rather unelegant style and demolished the fence, jumped out fine and then went sailing past the next jump because I was too busy thinking about what had just happened to concentrate on more important things, like steering.
So ended up with 12 faults, bit annoyed as it could have easily been 4 faults or even clear if I hadn't looked back and screwed up the double, but oh well, won't do it again.
So all in all jumped great and chuffed about how easy she made to 1m feel, plan is to do one or two more, depending on how they go, and then try and get some foxhunter DCs for next year before december when I am out of ponies and won't be able to ride Doodlebug any more.
