Use the Bomber Happy Tongue on one of mine. He has a small mouth with a big tongue and fleshy lips (Dutch warmblood). He certainly goes well in it and is less fussy in his mouth.

Has anyone used one?
Reviews, before and after, horses opinion of the bit?
Thanks
I use it on a very sensitive TBxWB with a fat tongue and big lips. Her acceptance of the contact has (finally) become consistent since using it. One thing to watch out for - make sure it is the right fit. Mine was a size too big at first and didn't work as well as when I got the smaller one, which she is in now.

My connie loved it, it actually taught him to take the contact forwards which I had been struggling with for years. I have now put him back in his turtle top and the results are still there. I only changed him back as he was getting to on the hand and was on the verge of out of control jumping, but having fun all the same!

I use the full cheek eggbutt version on my young cob. She's definitely happier than in the french-link snaffle she was in before, snatches much less, and is really starting to lighten in the contact.

Do you find they are stronger or lighter than a jointed snaffle? Im tempted to give it a try... thinking out loud with this :)

They are very different bits to compare, as they are not jointed.
Why not get one on trial from bit bank?

My 2 mares go in them, both fleshy mouths and big tongues (its a breed trait) but B Fuzzy is much better settled in the eggbutt, whereas L Fuzzy is happier in the loose ring version.

My TB loved his, having tried every possible mouthpiece - mylers/sprengers/NS etc etc it was a relief to find something he was happy in. I found he schooled better, took a better contact, and also was better and more controllable doing jumping and fastwork, presumably because he was happier.
