Hi,
I'm trying to find a suitable hack for my mum, who hasn't ridden for years and is just looking for something totally bombproof that doesn't need to be ridden everyday (maybe once or twice a week). All she would like to do is accompany me when I'm out hacking so we are looking for an old plod really, between 14.2hh and 15.2hh. Only problem is, we are having a real job finding something suitable!
I have found there are quite a few horses out there who are described as 'bombproof' when really they are anything but. Ideally we are looking for something in the Norfolk/Suffolk area (we are based in Diss) so if anyone knows of a horse that fits that description I would be really grateful for any advice.
Also, just wanted opinions on horse dealers please as I have come across a website called 'Safecobs' and was wondering if anyone has any experience of these people? I'm a bit wary of dealers after going to try a pony many years ago and the poor thing was blatantly drugged up to the eyeballs so I have always avoided them like the plague!
