Aidey

Cut a long story short (well I will try and keep it short!) I got Aidey my warmblood in 2004, I already had a 14 year old TB Gelding called Harley which I bought to jump but figured out dressage was really more his thing. Kept him anyway and mum bought me Aidey from a reputable dealer who imported good quality warmbloods, she was from Belgium, good bloodlines, was 4years old, well schooled, amazing jump, temperament to match with the added bonus of blanket spot colouring! I felt like I connected with Harley (TB) and that we somehow understood eachother, he seemed so easy to ride and after riding him I always felt good about myself. January 2010 I sold Harley to a lady I know and Aidey was out on loan as at the time I had had enough of horses and thought I wanted to give up. That lasted until August 2010 and I really missed having a horse in my life. Mum said I couldn't have Aidey back as this lady still had her on loan so she bought me Maisie as an early 21st present. 3 weeks later the lady phoned up saying she was giving Aidey back! A good friend of the family now looks after and rides Aidey for me, but straight away I felt the strong bond with Maisie, I have so much time and patience with her, which really I should have for Aidey as I feel I could do alot better with her.
So what Im asking really does anybody else feel like this about their horses? What would you do in my situation? Why do you think this is?
