Having had a previous greyhound with bone cancer.
Lucy has me worried. She turns 10 tomorrow. Over the last few months she's been loosing condition and weight slowly, but there's suddenly been a very steep decline, followed by her having a very slight limp yesterday to barely wanting to move or weight bare on her front right at all. She's been going off food, but still eating. Tonight she had a mouthful and limped back off to bed ☹️

I'm taking her in to the vets tomorrow if I can get an appointment, there's no heat/swelling/marks I've checked paw pads/nails and nothing (she screams at the slightest thing) so I think it's up shoulder area but no obvious signs (prev boy had no signs until the cancer had spread and bone was starting to crumble)

I have such a bad feeling, will be needing all your vibes tomorrow for Lucy. ☹️

She's normally such a full of life happy hound and she's really struggling 😭

Fingers crossed! Try not to worry too much until you know for sure what's going on. Ours was hopping on three legs recently and very shouty; we took her to the vets and she'd pulled a muscle and was just being a big wimp! I'm sure all will be well, but feel for you as this must be opening some old wounds x

How frustrating to have to wait for an answer
I'll carry on crossing my fingers until you (hopefully) get the all clear

Not happy about it 😳 she's gone from 29kg (her healthy weight) to 22kg ... so that would be ringing massive alarm bells to me. But because she was 24.5kg on last weigh in there (tooth abscess and subsequent surgeries.. so yes, she dropped weight then because she wasn't eating!) they're not concerned about the weight drop. Urgh. I may just see if I can get her in elsewhere unless they're able to fit her in ASAP

Keeping all crossed for you xxx
Might be worth trying to video her in the mean time
One of mine was falling over and trembling badly at home, but looked pretty normal in the surgery. Luckily I had videod her and the vet could see something was very wrong. She'd actually managed to poison herself and needed to be hospitalised

Yep am going to 🤦🏼‍♀️ just can't believe she pulled that stunt, shes normally screaming her head off the minute they touch her 😂
When Jack first went in because of persistent lameness he trotted in (and out) as sound as a pound. It was my video that persuaded them to xray.
