Bone Scans

My mare is going to be booked in for a Bone scan soon and most likely at Leahurst, has anyone had one done there and if so what was the cost? On speaking with my insurance they should pay, however as ive had a couple of other claims for different things, i just want to prepare myself in case they try and get out of it (or in fact do). I've been told that its one of the more expensive places to go but my vet is very particular and will only use certain Equine practices in the country and the other two he recommends are a lot further away

I've not had one done, but it was suggested as a possibility for my mare. This was at Fyrnwy Equine and they said the cost would be around £1,500.

Thanks sychnant, thats what i was thinking it may be, my vet said Three Counties who he also recommends is about £1,200 but that Leahurst will be a bit more. For me i think i would rather pay that bit more than have the extra few hours travelling especially as she will have to stay for a few days
