Hi,

I have been looking through all past posts about bone spavin and just wondered if anyone had much advice on the following...
My gelding has just been diagnosed with Spavins in both hocks.. He had radiographs taken and his left hind has more bone changes than his right but until now he hasn't been lame. He has had his hocks medicated and Tildren through an IV and had about a month off. I also just put him on Cortaflex HA (does anyone know if you are supposed to use this for so long and then go onto normal Cortaflex powder). I started riding him again 3 days ago following all advice from my vet and so far *Touchwood* he is still sound...! Just started doing a bit of trot! Hoping to be cantering again next week back in the school!

Any general advice would be much appreciated on anything related ... tips/advice etc...

Thank you
Natalie

My horse has a similar problem and Cortaflex was recommended by the vet school, it has smaller molecules which means it is absorbed more easily.
