Hi, I know of a 4yo warmblood that was diagnosed with bone Spavins in his left hock at the age of 3. The X-rays showed joint degeneration in right hind. The vet injected corticosteroid into the DIT & TMT joints. He also received an intravenous infusion of tildren to try stabilise the bone spavin.
Does anyone have any experience of this condition in youngsters (limitations etc). By all accounts the horse has fantastic confirmation and did very well at championships being awarded high marks for its confirmation.
Has anyone ever used pain relief injections for this condition?
Thanks.
