21 year old mare diagnosed with bone trauma to front knee. Treated with Tildren and bute. Went sound immediately, three months off then quietly ridden. Then went lame again so time off and then nerved blocked and treated with Cortisone. Came sound day later and sound for three months. Now lame again but only in trot. Told to retire her and have done so. She is still lame in trot only and bute will not touch it, neither will Alfa Bute or any joint supplement.

Any other ideas as I don't like to think of her lame in trot the rest of her life.

She is very active and is not taking to retirement gracefully. Long reining and walks out in hand are a nightmare as she is the chestnut who gave chestnut mares a bad name!
