Hi, I am trying to find something for my puppy to chew. I have bought the nyla puppy bones which he loves but chews them down very quickily (only at one end because he hold the other end in his hands!)

I called the vet, and they sad rawhide, or from butchers, but make sure he doesnt eat too much marrow or swallow big peices of rawhide. I am concerned about choking and blockages, what would be the best thing to get him, and hopefullt stop him chewing me!!

We give Chloe rawhide bones, butchers bones...and just watch her with them. She's generaly really careful with what she swallows - they're not stupid, they dont want blockages either! The only time we've had a problem was when I noticed it was getting small, panicked, ran up to take it off her and she has a habit of gulping things down when she thinks you want them! So just be careful.

Rawhide gets EVERYWHERE and is very sticky though! xxxx

We only give ours rawhide now, it does make a bloody mess though. We used to get bones from the butcher but our terrier developed a habbit of gettin a bit of bone stuck in the roof of his mouth.

Would be very cautious with rawhide as much of it is bleached.

Natural bones for me though I rarely give them beef bones as they are very hard, use mostly lamb or pig for chewing.
