Hello All!!!
First of all, I prob saw quite a few of you @ Munstead this w/end as I went (with Buckinghorse) both days and really enjoyed it, although Sunday had the better weather!!!
Anyway - Bonnie has been coming on leaps and bounds recently, and I've started to up her work slightly to get her and I both a bit fitter!!! Saturday, Schooled her on flat, jumps and then went on the gallops and let her go - cricky she's quick!!! She was also amazingly good and didn't buck once!!!
Sunday - Buckinghorse came round to give me some tips on both flat and jumping, and Bonnie really did work - she was slightly tired from the day before, but did really work. Changed a few things on the flat and horse worked better and in a nicer outline - then onto jumping!!! The jumps had been all small for the kids but BH just whacked them up and said - 'Come on'!!! Bonnie and I had disagreements which ended in an unscheduled dismount - however once BH said not to interfere with her, then she just flew the oxer and upright! Again no bucking or misbehaving - and by the end they were a decent height, but Bonnie was making them feel like 2-3!!!
Also walking Munstead on both days, I have to say I wasn't all that put off; even the PN course was achieveable to me!! apart from the coffin - which I need to overcome my fear of! So I pleased about that too.
Planning to go there xc training in a few weeks and this w/end doing combined training again @ Longreach - just hoping to do a bit better htan last time!!!
All v self indulgent but not to worry!!!
