Just got home from the clinic where Bonnie's rescued foal had to be rushed in for emergency treatment. He came in very lame - 2 puncture wounds just below the fetlock joint at the back of the foot. Looks like blackthorn and the poison got into the tendon sheath. Soooo, after x-rays, scans and general anesthetic, he has had tendon sheath flushed out. It will be touch and go tonight.

Good vibes please for Magic

Having just had my horse go through this procedure I know it's a worry, especially with such a young one but when I dropped Millie off there the nurse suggested that it is quite a common procedure so hopefully should go fine.
Thinking of you both.

Just reread, and saw the blackthorn comment... Is this a snake bite?
here's hoping they got it quick and that you have a bouncy foal back again in no time!
