Hi,
Tonight I noticed a small hard bony lump on the front of D's fetlock joint. He is not lame but it is on the same leg with which he has inflammation of the coffin joint.
Thing is when he originally had it investigated with previous owner they only noticed a very slight difference in his coffin joint.
He has had 3 HA injections into the joint with which he came sound every time. I am wondering if this lump could be the problem

Sooooo I googled bony lump on fetlock joint and came up with Osselets

I had a bit of a read about them but there was not much info on them sooooo was wondering.....
Anyone know anything about them?
Or just bony lumps on fetlock joint will do?
Please?

We have a young horse that developed one of these on the side of the fetlock joint. We had him scanned and it didnt impede either the tendon or the joint movement so the vet said just forget about it. Like a low splint - very odd but we are trying to ignore it and he has never been unsound
