First aid or a general vet book? My bible is Sue Devereux's 'The Veterinary Care of the Horse' - too big to be "handy" as such but it has everything in it from cleaning a wound right down to loads of common, and not so common, diseases. Very well-written as well. It's expensive but worth every single penny! I am literally now just researching something and have just found out more from the book than I did in two hours of Googling!

More first aid but I like reading anything horsey so would probably find that interesting too! Im weird!

Join the club - I got rather overly excited when some good biomechanics books turned up in my college library
Sue Devereux's book has a lot on first aid in the first bit of it, it's really a great all-round book but like I said it's a bit too big and heavy to be "the first-aid book in the tack room"! WELL worth the money though and it's actually top of my list of "things I couldn't be without"!
