Booking a horse transporter - what a difference in costs!!!!

So looking at booking a transporter from A - B. If I book a transporter (from A) to go from A, pick up in B and drop off back in A the lowest quote is £800.
If I book a transporter (from B) to pick up in B, drop off in A, then return to B the basic quote is £350.
Same distance, lorry size, insurance. ??????

It could be because they have an empty load on the way back so could divert any distance, or time from A, to transport back in Bs direction.

It’s the same with all kinds of travel / look at flights , often a huge disparity between going and coming back … it’s due to where they have a full load and where they do not
