Booster vac £ Vs new start up £

Hi!!

Can anyone tell me roughly what it costs to start a horses vaccs again if they have gone over??

I was convinced the vets scrawl says 26 - but apparently not, apparently it says 20

so will have to start again....

FAB!!

So wondering how much this will knock me back?

think its about £20 for the jab plus call out......
you need one and two to be around 4-6weeks apart then another in about 6 months, then yearly

So £20 for the first flu and tet jab (i'll hack the beggar down there!)

Then another £20 set 4-6weeks later.

£20 is actually quite cheap.I guess it depends on where you live though and which vaccinations you are talking about. I paid £29 for flu/tet last year plus call out but my vet is among the cheapest in the area I live in. My mate uses a different vet and pays about £35 plus call out.

I have just started my youngsters course.
£30.40 for the flu and tet plus £36 call out x 3 to get onto an annual one.

Not so expensive if you can cut out the visit cost

I jsut pais £29 + vat, you need to get 3 done within the year at set intervals to get you back on track so you will in effect end up paying for 2 extra jabs and call out. I would moan at the vet, mine outs a sticker on the front of passport stating when next is due in numbers and words.

About £35 a jab + £35 call out fee (for 10 miles

) but the vets have now started a free call out day, on one day a week they will be in our area, and you pay on the day (not on account) it works out much cheaper

Flippin heck, everyone seems to have cheap vets except me! It cost me £65 (including call out) a pop to get Hattie back up to date!

I tend to wait until someone else on the yard has a vet out and then offer cash...

. I've paid anything from £20 cash to £120

luckily my vet does a walk in service, just cost me £33 for a flu/tet booster, plus about £5.00 diesel.
