Boot recommendations (windgalls)

Hi,

Horse has windgalls on his back legs, which have never caused any problems, but with the ground being so hard and him getting older, I think it might be time to get him some supportive boots.

Any particular recommendations? Fine with them being pricey if they actually do a good job.

I think boots are very unlikely to provide support to any of the structures which cause windgalls. They may provide some strike protection however. I would look to the foot balance tbh to provide the best possible support for tendons and ligaments.

Boots won't help but cold hosing after work might.

There aren’t any boots that can support. All boots can do is offer strike protection.
Keep him well shoe/ trimmed and avoid working on hard ground as much as you can, or stick to walk if you can’t.
