My horse usually wears just front brushing boots. I've never bothered with hinds, and also he only has front shoes on anyway. However, I took him cross country schooling last weekend and put some hind boot on and they rubbed him. They were just normal Woof Wear type ones and were clean and not too tight or too loose. Do you think its just because he isnt used to wearing them? I dont know what to do this weekend when I go to a Hunter Trial? Is it ok to go without hind boots? Or shall I buy some fleecy type ones? Can anyone recommend any good ones?
Thanks in advance

They were on the inside, just above where the bottom of the boot ends.

Forgot to say....the hair had come off and the skin was pink and looked 'raw'. Although it was just a small area.

I do without any problems, rode 60 miles once like it! (now just stick to the x country) . I've heard of people using tubi grip under boots to stop them rubbing but never done it myself.
