Can anyone recommend a large retailer in the south east where I could try on lots of different ranges of country boots? I have dithered about buying any for years because I can't be sure of the fit by buying online. I'd especially like to be able to try Dubarry, Ariat and Tuffa. I thought perhaps Frogpool or Speedgate but looking at their websites its hard to tell if they stock a full range

Suggestions anyone?

Buttons Saddlery is very small but I got my Ariat boots from there. They have lots of different styles from Ariat, Mountain Horse etc. They are good at fitting too. Maybe take a look there?

Good luck,

Laura.

Inagatestone is good, they have a website so you could check out the range before you go.

(The cafe is brilliant, I go there just for lunch sometimes lol!)

Did you not realise there was a big event on at the weekend going by the name of Hickstead! That is the best place to go if you want to try on a variety of boots as they were all there.

Would you get on better going to some sort of horsey event or big competition and looking at the stalls there?

Second to this, you'll have a good day out and probably get some discount

Horsey event is good but can't go to Hickstead, going on holiday - where I think wellies are going to be more appropriate!

Great suggestions everyone, thanks! I can see self discipline will be in order if I go to these shops, to stick to my shopping list
