I've got a pair of mountain horse boots with a broken zip. The new versions I looked at have naff leather, and I tried my other boots at the show last night and put it this way I was jumping the double on one stirrup.

So even if not cost effective I really want my old favorites fixing ASAP. My local saddler is good but you are waiting months for them to do anything so not even going to ask there. Suggestions?? I'd be up for posting them - just missing them badly...

Lots of cobblers don't, I found one that did and they said my mountain horse boots were so awful to do they aren't going to do any more

If you are struggling Feet First at chesterfield will do them and you can post them. They have a website, it is more geared towards motorbike boots, hiking boots and rock boots but they do horse riding boots too.

I have had a zip replaced and DH and I have both and new soles on our show boots. He has also had damaged stitching repaired on the ankle of his show boots.

If you have a cobbler do them make sure they understand how important it is that they are comfortable at the back as we had a pair doen and they left them really rough at the bottom and just ripped my socks and cut my heel.
Were you looking at the right Mountain horse boots as the ones for competition are still really good leather!

Hello,
Sent mine back without receipt and got a brand new pair back! Worth a try, was a couple of years ago though. I just emailed them.
