Hi, am moving my mare soon 250 miles and have got various quotes online from horse transporters. The best being from booth royden, their website looks very good - just wondering if anyone on here has used them before?

Just worrying (as usual) about my precious horse! PM if you prefer! Cheers

they are brilliant- haven't used them personally but they are local so always whizzing about here and there (in a safe and horse friendly manner of course :p ) and lots of friends have used them. when my horse was sold to guernsey it was bootroydens who took him down to portsmouth for the ferry and his new owner was happy with service.

I used them before I got my own box and they are good. One of the drivers took a friend's horse to Leahurst and drove faster than I would although, horse was fine.

Personally, I'd rather hire a box and drive it myself although that may work our more expensive?

Beaverhall in Staffordshire have a nice little box they hire out and I'm sure there are others. www.beaverhall.co.uk

I used them for a horse to go down to Sussex earlier this year. They were very good, on time, very obliging and the horse arrived (again, about 250 miles) in great condition without turning a hair. They were also very competitive on price. I'd use them again.

Boothroyden transported Ed from West Yorks to South Wales for me, with all his tack.

He was dry as a bone when he got here and very chilled, very reasonable price and lovely driver - they are my transporter of choice. Cannot speak highly enough of them!!

Thanks guys, have rang and booked her in for this week - fab! Do you know if they allow you to give a haynet on board? I know some companies wont let you give hay.
