Right have decided to posh myself up and buy a decent pair of long boots as I have retired my old Cavallos!
So here is the problem, I went to Frogpool tonight who measure me and I am a 41cm at the widest part of my calf and 43cm in length.
Every pair I tried fitted me round the calf but because I have quite slim ankles and narrow feet (the only part of me that is!) felt loose around the ankle and not really supportive.
At the moment I ride in Ariats and Ariat chaps which are great because I bought a snug pair - they are nice and tight around my ankle and have given slightly round the calf so fit nicely.
But I really want a smart pair of boots for lessons and competitions.
I really don't know what to do and would appreciate your thoughts...
Do I...
A) Break the bank and have a pair of Konigs made to measure - even though I am dieting and hope to loose a bit more.
B) Buy off the peg and have zips put in and/or wear socks
C) Go to a bootmaker and take my OH's Konigs and ask them to make me an exact copy but in my size. And if you think this is a good idea can you recommend a bootmaker to do this?
Thanks

Really break the bank and have Vogels made to measure. Your not odd size wise - when i had my Vogels made they actually phoned me twice to check the measurements - my calf width is 36cm, length is 47.5cms and foot size is 5

Rectiligne do a very good range of sizes off the shelf with zips.
