Hello

About to buy some new leather country boots on a budget of under £150.
Mostly for wearing to events, yard work and walking (not riding so much, but be nice to have the odd hack without changing if need be).

Anyway torn between the following...

Ariat Windermere
Dublin River Boots
Toggi Columbus

Anyone have any feedback or advice?

Thanks

Not on your list but I have these;

I've had them for almost three years now and wear them everyday throughout the winter to walk the dogs across muddy fields (where I mainly walk the dogs is flood plain) I've regularly been almost up to the top of the boots in puddles and they don't leak. The clean up beautifully, are mega comfy, warm in winter and cool in spring/summer. Really really pleased with them!

Oh, and I have ridden in them a few times.

My experience with weligog sloane boots 1st pair properly looked after waterproof 4 months 2 replacement pairs leaked straight out of the box so I got my money Back 1 pair of Toggi Hamilton boots waterproof 4 months I am on exchanged pair I think they are so similar they are manufactured in the same factory as they leaked in exactly the same places:mad::mad:

I have Tuffa Suffolk as well. When they were new they were really smart and super warm so they went to uni as well as the yard a few times when it was snowing before they got too manky.
My first pair lasted a year then they got a hole in where the leather rotted from being muddy every day - I wore them twice a day to do yard jobs and groundwork with my horse in our school which is underwater for half the year.
They were so lovely and warm I got another pair as I couldn't face going back to wellies and this winter I'm going to be really strict with myself about changing boots into wellies before going to the field or anywhere sopping wet as they're not that waterproof and I can't afford a new pair.
