Does it matter what boots I wear for an SJ class at a local show?

I'm going to a show on Saturday to do a few clear rounds and maybe, if I'm feeling brave, the 1ft9 class *eeeek!!!*

I have long leather show boots, but I can't walk in them and I'm either going to be walking to or from the show (2 miles) so can't wear them.

I normally ride in my dublin river boots - but I'm guessing I can't really wear them?! I could dig out my black riding trainer boot thingies and (slightly faded) black chaps, or my old black long rubber riding boots, but I'm worried that I'm not used to jumping in them and I really don't want to come off (again!!!

If I'm going for the boots/chaps or the long rubber boots I'll ahve to wear them tonight to practice jumping in them...I really just want to wear my dublin rivers but I guess they'll look too scruffy?

Hi I don't really know the answer as I'm not sure what Dublin rivers look like? But I just wanted to wish you luck, I am sure you will both be fine and it's good you and Murphy are going jumping again.

Doubt you'll be allowed to wear Dublin river boots.

Fine to wear short boots and plain black/brown chaps or rubber long boots. I have short boots and gaiters but usually SJ in my long rubber boots.
