Hoss needs some new booties, just for xc and hunting really. Any recommendations? Preferably not TOO expensive. Been looking at the NEW ones which seem quite good.

Thanks in advance. x

I have NEW on front then double lock woofs on back. Neither move and I have no rub marks.
I would definately advise tendon guards as I know a horse who had no boots on that severed its tendon last year - poor little cob had to be put down despite £5ks worth of surgery. Till that happened I had double lock woofs on front but after this the NEWs came out.

The light weight competition N.E.W ones are good and they don't absorb too much water. Hate hate hate sheepskin lined boots avoid!
Dalmer do a good boot that is light and has a very strong tendon guard like the look of them. Not used Prolite before tho

Guarantee N.E.W won't stay put out hunting. Prolite or Clarendon hunters don't ever move out hunting and N.E.W are great for XC.

I was thinking about those. Shall probably go with them then as heard many good things about them!

P.S Bit of a blonde moment, they're not for hunting, just xc.

Do you wear boots for hunting though? I've been told not to as causes the legs to overheat and the tendon to split, or something along those lines. However, surely if I get some along the lines of prolite, they're designed so that the tendons don't overheat?! xx
