Boots - general purpose

I need a set of boots for the occasional cross country that we are planning on doing this winter - any recommendations?

I love prolite boots, lwt, offer amazing protection, and don't soak up water. Expensive though! I personally wouldnt Xc without tendon protection, so some sort of open/closed front tendon boots are a must for me!

Sportabac do some brushing boots with tendon guards now....may be worth looking at?

Oh does anyone still use porter boots?

They don't soak up water either, but I guess are 'old' technology?

N.E.W do good competition boots. I use sportabacs though, front and back brushing boots or I use Weatherbeeta Pro-tec jump boots for tendon support.

NEW or WOOF, but ones for XC, not the club boots.
