OK, I have some lovely cavallo boots however they are too large round my ankles now that they affect my perforamce as the start sliding off.

I need some advice on what to buy next - smart half chaps and boots or Leather boots? I have to say I do like riding in my chaps more than boots and find they hug horses sides better. I need some before the end of the month for a ODE. I do dressage, SJ, XC, ODE and unsure what is best for money and comfort.

Thanks in advnace ps I don't want to spend over £200 this time around

I've got the mountain horse new ones. I can't remember what they are called but they are like field boots with lace at the front. I've had long leather boots before and they were quite stiff but these are just HEAVEN. Even prefer them to chaps n boots now. (They aren't the big clumpy ones - quite showjumperish with high cut top) I would definately try a pair on!!
