Every day new horse (6 mnths new!) comes in with a new cut on his back legs, problem was pretty much solved by t/o in brushing boots - except of course when he catches above or below ahh well

Any way next weekend he will be out full time and his legs are hot and sweaty under boots I cant leave him in the 24 hrs a day. Any ideas??
T/O boots def NOT an option he hates them and as a result they last only a week or so and of course you should only use them for a certain time anyway... I dont know what to do he is plastered in scars and scabs HELP

I am pretty sure it is his shoes, (that he's brushing) although yesterday it was the outside of the leg that had the daily injury! I will speak to my farrier about it although i am reluctant to change his shoeing as his feet were awful when i bought him- collapsed heels and he had a huge windgall which has also greatly improved with more support under his heels-but i will speak to him next time. He had perfectly clean legs when i got him and now they are covered in scars and white hairs DAMN!! its not fair.

Oh and we have individual turn out so he's not scrapping with anyone- otherwise i could forward the receipts for animalintex on to the offenders owner!!!
