The little beastie is now 4 months old. He's finished his puppy classes and is now on a class about motivation and manners, which is all about impulse control and the start of some very baby gun dog training (by association rather than deliberate).

His recall is really rather good, he was even allowed off lead at the beach and he stayed with us the entire time!

He comes to work with me now which makes life better for everyone, he gets so much mental stimulation at work and comes home shattered and cuddly.

Looking handsome:

And enormous:

But still as cute as a button:

The only roan dogs I know where pale as pups and then went increasingly spotty. They had a roan parent though. My ESS has mottled skin and has quite a few well hidden flecks and spots. His white bits look mostly Hite though. Spots are more pronounced on his legs.

I want him to stay small forever but I am intrigued to know how he will turn out as an adult dog.

He's teething and really liked the taste of my arm, it must be a good consistency, I have to walk around everywhere with the root we bought him in case he gets the urge to chew me to offer it in exchange!
