Hi

Does anyone know of any Border Collie breeders or puppies for sale in the East of England, Bedford, Cambs, Milton Keynes way?

Ideally I would like a white border collie to do Agility and to just be a general pet.
I've always had border collies and love them to pieces.

Any info appreciated

Go on the isds website for a list of breeders....

word of caution - white BC'are prone to health problems, ive never seen a totally white one, usually wee patches of colour still, but make sure if you do find one its been BAER hearing tested

I am kind of scared to say it, in case I get accused of being mean

, but I think BCs end up in rescue a lot, would you consider a rescue?

Thanks for all the replies.

I forgot to mention in my post that we have seen LOADS of rescue collies, possible to rehome but they all have issues, snappy, aggressive, bad with other dogs, disobedient, destructive, cant be left at home etc.
We originally wanted to rehome a rescue one but most of them were at the rehoming centres as they had problems. I suppose they are all at rehoming centres for a reason.

Thats what made us decide for a puppy. We can bring it up our way and do puppy classes etc.
Thanks for the warning about white collies, I did know that having a white one is a risk of them being deaf. My first collie was white and he was only partial hearing but I appreciate the warning! Blue Merle ones are meant to have health problems too and can be deaf and blind if the parents are both blue merle

Its wierd how colour gene can affect things like sight and hearing!

Hopefully the perfect pooch will come along soon
